How to look good in jeansThere was a time when jeans were only worn casually and were seen as dressing down. Now jeans are just as acceptable as evening wear when worn with a glamorous top and a fabulous pair of heels. And with so many styles available we are spoilt for choice but what style will suit you? For the last couple of seasons we have thankfully seen the return of higher waists on jeans, so no more thongs on show! For spring/summer the prominence is still being feminine and showing off your figure rather than hiding it. The high waist, wide leg denims are big this season but should not be worn by those with a belly as you will only emphasise it. Instead look for jeans with the waist just below the belly button as these will give you a better shape. Wide legs are great for hiding bottoms but be careful if you are petite as they will make your legs look shorter. You can team these with a tunic style top tucked in and worn with a pair of platforms and a wide belt. Skinny jeans are still around this season but should be worn with caution. If you have a boyish figure they look great, but be careful if you have curves. You could try a straight leg jean instead to balance out your figure. Both styles should be worn in dark denim for an upto date look, worn with this seasons sheer pussy bow blouses and heels or flats. The best style is of course the bootleg; this style is flattering for all shapes as it balances out curves for the pear and hourglass, and creates shape for boob and belly. As with all trousers, the longer the length the longer your legs will look. If you struggle to find a pair to fit then it is always well worth the extra money and getting them fitted. Or you could have a look at www.makeyourownjeans.com, you can choose from a variety of styles and colours. They give you clear instructions on what measurements they need to make your perfect jeans. |
